A beast which came from data about a Russian space probe thing that was sent into space many decades ago. I doubt that the actual Sputnik probe had a large blue moon on its forehead, though. But it would have been more exciting if it did!

The Sputnik is the Stage 1 form of the Moon group.
Appearance
Locations
Sputniks cannot be found in the wild. They are not used by any enemy signers, except for those participating in the Random Tournament.
Battle

Sputniks learn Silver Bubble, a Larval-type technique. They can also use any Larval or Tech techniques that their ancestors learned.
Evolution
A Sputnik can be hatched from a Moon Egg. It can evolve into two different forms. The balanced form is unavailable in the alpha version.
