These creatures are undead, but unusual in that they're positively brought to unlife by light magics. They're fallen Paladins, returned to the land of the living to smite evil, as they feel their work is not yet complete. Unfortunately, due to the rotting of their brains, they lack the reason to judge what is and isn't evil, so they try to smite everything.
