Huge, ambling humanoid constructs hewn from living stone. They used to be used as enchanted guardians for the Earth Temple, and they still serve that purpose even though the temple has fallen largely to ruin. They have no mind of their own, and are merely magically programmed; they will continue to carry out their assigned task all hours of every day until turned to dust.

Notes

  • Golems that are fought after a wrong memory sequence are called 'Churlish Golems'.
  • Golems that are trapped in chests are called 'Niggardly Golems'.

Trivia

  • The word 'Churlish' means 'rude in a mean-spirited and surly way.' Churlish Golems are fought as a sort of mean-spirited punishment for failing a memory sequence, hence their name.
  • The word 'Niggardly' means 'stingy', or 'not generous'. Niggardly Golems are found guarding treasure chests - they are not generous with their treasure, hence their name.
