In the Miasmon Prototype, a Crowbat is an Essent Avian/Demonic monster.
A Crowbat has a small, shapeless body covered in black feathers, with a tail ending in an arrow point. It has two pale purple claws, and dark purple batlike wings. Its face has a large black beak and glowing orange and yellow eyes.
Wild Crowbats can be encountered in Cave of Disappointment. Their level varies from 1 to 5. They can always use their Default skills; additional skills if applicable are randomly selected from their Tier 1 move pool. Their stat boosts are also randomised. Rarely, they will drop a Prismatic Pinion or a Grimy Horn.
Crowbats have high AGILITY but low SPIRIT and VITALITY. They are weak to Water, Light and Fig attacks.
Crowbats have above average AGILITY, but low SPIRIT and VITALITY.
Crowbats are weak to Water, Light and Fig but resist Air, Earth and Dark attacks.
As an Essent monster, Crowbats cannot learn skills through evolution. A newly-cloned Crowbat will always know its two Default skills. It can use Air, Dark and non-elemental attacks. It is able to lower the POWER, SPIRIT and AGILITY of foes, inflict paralysis and curse and cause them to bleed.
Obtaining and Evolution
After collecting 100% essence from wild specimens, a Crowbat can be cloned at a Miasmachine for 20 Syanra. It can be evolved into an Corvern when it reaches Level 6. It is possible to cancel the evolution, in which case the same evolution will be available at each subsequent levelup.
- Its name is a combination of "crow" and "bat". It also has a strong (but possibly unintentional) resemblance to "crowbar".
