(SIT-r@-sawr)

They look vibrant and playful at first glance, but if you approach one, it'll have your arm off in a single bite! Even cloned ones will sometimes set their trainer's clothes ablaze with their fiery breath seemingly for fun.

Bestiary description

In the Miasmon Prototype, a Citrusaur is an Essent Saurian/Plantoid monster.

Appearance

Citrusaurs resemble carnivorous dinosaurs, with two legs, a forward-leaning stance and a long tail. Their body is patterned in brown, green and orange. Their feet have orange claws, and they have no visible arms. Their heads are bright orange with yellow markings, and they have yellow eyes and lime green teeth. Their head is ringed with a ruff of orange and green leaves, and two more green leaves are attached to the tip of their tail.

Locations

Wild Citrusaurs can be encountered in Sunset Pass. Their level varies from 2 to 5. They can always use their Default skills; additional skills if applicable are randomly selected from their Tier 1 move pool. Their stat boosts are also randomised. Rarely, they will drop a Vibrant Leaf or a Fossil Bone.

Several Citrusaurs can also be battled in scripted encounters:

Skills

As an Essent monster, Citrusaurs cannot learn skills through evolution. A newly-cloned Citrusaur will always know its two Default skills. It can use Fire, Earth and non-elemental attacks, increase its POWER and debuff enemies. Interestingly, one enemy Citrusaur can use the skill Growl, which is not in the Citrusaur's skill pool.

Obtaining and Evolution

After collecting 100% essence from wild specimens, a Citrusaur can be cloned at a Miasmachine for 20 Syanra. It can be evolved into an Allosatsuma when it reaches Level 6. It is possible to cancel the evolution, in which case the same evolution will be available at each subsequent levelup.
